Pragmatics and Semantics
Many contemporary philosophical approaches focus on semantics. Brandom, for example is focused on the significance of words (albeit from a pragmatic perspective).

In addition to these criticisms, pragmatism has been challenged by technological and scientific advances. For instance, pragmatists have struggled to reconcile their opinions on science with the development of evolutionary theory, which was developed by a non-pragmatist Richard Dawkins.
Despite these challenges, pragmatism continues its growth in popularity around the world. It is a third option to analytic and Continental philosophical traditions, and has many practical applications. It is a rapidly growing field of inquiry.
